About Ruben Delaine
Ruben Delaine started scoring fights before he started pricing them. He sat as a certified England Boxing judge on the amateur circuit from 2014 to 2019, working roughly 340 bouts across regional shows and national quarter-finals, which is where he learned how differently a round reads from the apron than it does on a broadcast feed. That gap became the job. In 2019 he moved to the analytics side and spent four years building method-of-victory and round-group models for a fight-data consultancy in Dublin, back-testing against every UFC numbered card from 189 onward. At Megapari he writes the fight-week previews, audits round-group and distance lines against his own numbers before they go on the page, and breaks down judges' scorecards after the controversial ones. He has a standing rule: no pick goes live without the significant-strike differential and takedown-defence splits behind it.
